Troy, MI — Troy United Hockey delivered a commanding performance Wednesday night on home ice, defeating the Ann Arbor Huron River Rats with a decisive 9–1 mercy-rule victory. The offensive surge was led by senior Ben Dumas (Athens High School), who recorded an impressive hat-trick to set the tone. Alex Chrobak (AHS) notched his first varsity goal, firing a blue-line shot that found its way through traffic and into the back of the net. Alex Lowry (AHS) put on a standout playmaking performance, filling the scoresheet with two goals and three assists. On the defensive end, goaltender Aaron Mortimer, earned his first varsity minutes, successfully manning the crease for two strong periods. The momentum continues into a busy weekend for Troy United, as the team prepares for two important OAA contests. On Friday, Troy travels to Royal Oak to take on the M1 Griffins. The team returns home on Saturday at 5:15 PM for a league matchup against the North Oakland Eagles, a game that carries early-season implications in the standings.
