Troy picked up its first league victory of the season on Tuesday night with a convincing 72–5 win over Ferndale, improving to 5–1 overall. The win was a true total team effort, as every Colt contributed on both ends of the floor. Troy played unselfish basketball, shared the ball well, and brought consistent defensive intensity from start to finish. Every player earned valuable minutes, gaining experience and confidence as the Colts continued to build momentum early in the season. Offensively, Maci Zeiter led all scorers with 22 points, while OJ added 8 and Olivia Spangler chipped in 7. Even more importantly, every Colt found the scoresheet, highlighting the team’s depth and commitment to playing together. The energy on the bench was outstanding all night, with players staying engaged, supportive, and locked in—an important reflection of the program’s culture and togetherness. Troy will look to carry this energy, effort, and team-first mentality into its next matchup as the Colts continue league play.
