Troy Falls in Close Game After Late Score Troy High stayed in it until the end but came up just short in a 6–4 loss on Tuesday. Emily Bultynck led the way offensively with three hits, including a triple that drove in two runs. Kaitlin Goldberger added two hits, while Goldberger and Olivia King were aggressive on the bases, helping Troy swipe four total bases. Troy battled back early, tying the game in the first inning and later taking a 4–3 lead in the fourth behind Bultynck’s big hit. The game remained tight into the final inning before the late go-ahead runs. In the circle, Peytyn Herron got the start, with Nora Harris and Natalie Sobotka providing relief. Defensively, Troy played a clean game with no errors and turned a double play. Troy will look to bounce back in their next matchup against Avondale on Thursday.
